The old Kinect works best than his new, and alleged improved, version. First of all; the new Kinect requires less space than the old one. It's true. But, the new one has a problem that has been affecting almost all new Kinects I tested. For some reason, it doenst work for games.
Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Recording. After re-enabling the Kinect microphone, the Kinect stopped disconnecting. To eliminate the feedback loop, I reduced the Kinect microphone's level setting to 0. You can get to the level setting from the Recording tab in the Sound dialog.
The Xbox 360 Kinect does NOT use the same SDK as the Xbox One. Two different SDKs exist for the two separate models. The Xbox One Kinect tracks at 60fps as the 360 only tracks at half that. Don't try to correct me if you're going to give out misinformation. . r/virtualreality.
